Avi is a senior at George Washington University majoring in political science and minoring in journalism and mass communication. Avi first joined MediaFile as a writer for the politics section and most recently served as politics editor. Avi is currently an editorial intern at Street Sense Media, a non-profit news outlet in Washington, D.C., and has previously interned for Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Democratic National Committee. He has also reported on student life and metro news for The GW Hatchet.
Michael Kohler is a junior at George Washington University, studying political communication. He is looking forward to helping MediaFile expand and continuing his reporting on MediaFile's "Long Time, No See" podcast. He is passionate about human rights and their intersection with journalism. He is also an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsmen.
Laragh Cronin is a sophomore at George Washington University majoring in political communication and minoring in anthropology. She interned on Hill TV's morning news show this past semester as a production intern. She is also a host for GW-TV's show "District Debrief," and is on its executive board as the Director of Public Relations. In her free time she enjoys watching reality TV, painting, and talking all things politics (of course).
Shreeya is a junior at George Washington University majoring in history. She is especially interested in exploring press freedoms in the South Asian subcontinent. In her free time, she likes to run, read autobiographies and memoirs, and do some more running. She began working for MediaFile as a politics writer, and now looks forward to expanding the international section.
Niko LaMay is a junior at George Washington University studying political science and history. Before becoming MediaFile's industry editor, he was a writer in the section. He is passionate about all things sports, music, and entertainment.
Samantha is a junior at the George Washington University and is studying political communication. She started as a writer in the opinions section of MediaFile and now serves as the communications director and an opinions co-editor. Samantha is passionate about creative communication, the arts and social justice. She is looking forward to helping others share their voice this year with MediaFile.
Rob is a graduate student at George Washington University, where they study media & strategic communications. They are currently communications coordinator for Delegate Ibraheem Samirah. Rob previously served as editor-in-chief of MediaFile for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Amy Patronella is a senior at George Washington University majoring in political communication and minoring in sustainability and public policy. She is a proud Houstonian and is passionate about good writing and environmental policy. In her free time she enjoys cooking, listening to podcasts, and trying to find good tacos in D.C.
