MediaFile is happy to announce the incoming Editorial Board for the 2017-2018 year, effective May 1. The section editors will assume editorial leadership of their respective sections. The remaining board members will aid in bringing MediaFile’s editorial vision to life.

Incoming Editor-in-Chief Julia Arciga and incoming Deputy Editor Talia Balakirsky sent the following memo to the staff Thursday afternoon:

Hey MediaFile Team,

We’d like to announce our new Editorial Board for the 2017-2018 year! After careful consideration and a rigorous application process, we’re proud to present to you your new section editors and those who will help lead the editorial direction of the outlet in the next 12 months!

Business Editor: Brett Maney

Technology Editor: Jess Pitocco

Opinions Editor: Rob Cline

Copy Editor: Caroline Rexrode

Senior International Writer: Karena Halvorssen

We could not be more excited for this group to get started! Their first official publishing day as an Editorial Board will be May 1. In the meantime, they’ll be in the transition process with the help of the 2016-2017 Editorial Board.
